Ivan Zupic is a Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at the Institute of Management Studies, Goldsmiths, University of London. His research interests include three main areas: (1) high-growth firms; (2) how digital technology enables open collaborative strategies (e.g. platform strategies, crowdsourcing) and (3) research methods – he is especially interested in bringing methods from machine learning and information systems (e.g. topic modeling, bibliometrics) into strategy and entrepreneurship research. His articles have been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Organizational Research Methods, Management Decision and European Management Journal.
He conducted workshops on business model innovation, lean startup, pitching and market analysis for entrepreneurial teams in ABC Accelerator. He taught same topics for student teams at CREA summer school in 2015 and 2016. Two student teams coached by Ivan Zupic and his colleagues won the European-wide competition of student entrepreneurial projects from all participating Universities.
Before entering academia he worked as a consultant in the IT industry and editor/journalist in the media. He has extensive experience as a project manager in technology development, interacting with other managers as a consultant and running his own small business.
